Understanding the results

What this information means

Connection details help determine whether your network path has changed and whether the network identity visible to websites matches your expectations.

Public IP and location

Your IP address is the public network address shown when your current connection accesses a website. The country or region is inferred from IP geolocation data and can help confirm whether the selected route is active. Geolocation data may differ from your device’s actual location and can be inaccurate when network providers update their records.

ISP and proxy detection

The ISP field identifies the network provider or organization associated with the public address. Proxy detection is an interface-based result derived from available network information and should be treated as a connection diagnostic only. A single result is not a substitute for a full security audit and cannot confirm whether a specific application used the expected route.

DNS leak check

An IP lookup confirms your public network exit. A DNS check examines whether domain resolution requests also use the expected network path.

Record the pre-connection state

Disconnect from the accelerated connection, review the DNS settings currently used by your operating system or router, and note the network provider and resolution source. This information is for comparison later and does not need to be submitted on this page.

Check again after connecting

After connecting to the target route, reopen this page to confirm that your public IP has changed. Then review the DNS settings in your system network details or the client’s diagnostics page. If the client offers DNS takeover options, confirm that the setting is in the expected state.

Address inconsistent results

If your public connection has switched but domain resolution still points to the original network’s DNS service, reconnect to the route, flush the system DNS cache, and check whether your browser has its own Secure DNS setting enabled. Check again after making changes.

Lookup privacy

This lookup does not record results or create a lookup history. Your browser sends a request only to VyVPN’s same-origin GeoIP endpoint, and the response is used to display the current page. If the endpoint is unavailable, the page shows a failure notice directly instead of switching to a third-party public lookup service.
